Pcsx memory card failed to load12/3/2023 I'd like to try and help more, but you haven't told us much, like: What game this is, how many games you had saved on the memory card, whether you changed versions of PCSX2 or changed any of its settings, and how you recovered the file (like with Piriform Recuva or Easeus Undelete, or from the directory of an older version of PCSX2). Failed to load latest commit information. GitHub - ps2dev/mymc: A public domain utility for working with PlayStation 2 memory card images. Third, you might try running some file recovery software, if you didn't already, looking for another copy of the file "Mcd001.ps2". I expect the file size here should be 8.25 MB (8,650,752 bytes) at the bottom, under Attributes, "read only" should NOT be checked. In Windows, right click your "Mcd001.ps2" file, click Properties. but if it does then shutdown the emulator, relaunch the emulator and do not load any save state just load the in game save in the game and. If the save state itself is forrupted then it will just screwup this new card and this won't work. If the answer isn't "yes," check the file properties of the original file. then insert the new formated memory card and try making a save on it. But I fear the problem may be in your save states themselves and then it cant be fixed. Insert it to slot 1, format it in the BIOS, and try to save on that. Second, question: Was this memory card made with an older version of PCSX2? If so, try running that older version instead. Try creating a new memory card using the memory card interface in PCSX2. Memory card configured but cannot able load the saved checkpoint. PCSX2 Crashing after loading the save file. Formatting will only give you a clean memory card image with no data on it, which isn't what you want.įirst, back up the memory card contents to their own folder for safekeeping, preferably on a separate drive (like a USB drive). DuckStation Tutorial Last updated DecemAbout DuckStation for Windows Should you use DuckStation Download & installation Error: MSVCP1401. Unable to load the saved data of your game. I have the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with S-Pen. Should let you to save then after loading the memcard, ehr format the new card before that ofc. It worked before I even updated to Lollipop as well. Try disabling the 'auto eject memory card on loading save state' option in the memcard dialog, then create a new card for the slot where you were saving and insert the new card there. I’ve struggled with this problem just after updating to Lollipop and even tested and confirmed ClassicBoy which uses the same emulator works, please don’t blame people for failing to launch any PS1 games due to the wrong directory. The bios file ClassicBoy uses that works for me is the same one RetroArch should be using so I know it is fine and works. OR if you set up a game list, you can right-click a game and go to Edit Memory Cards, as shown here. The Google Play Store has ClassicBoy in which I found has a PS1 emulator, the same one RetroArch has unless otherwise noted and I tested loading Metal Gear Solid (Japan) and it worked without any modifications required. In the Memory Card Editor, select the memory card you want to work with. I copy the sp2-x.dll plugin from the latest 1.3.1 builds in the plugin folder, but it changes nothing. So I cant enjoy the lastest release of PCSX2. I’m not sure if I ever updated RetroArch as soon as I updated to Lollipop, but it didn’t work once I updated. I just installed PCSX2 1.4.0 but I cant go further when the configuration window ask me to find the PSU2 plugin : This specific area remains blank. I never modified anything after updating on RetroArch and it still failed. I have tested PCSX Rearmed and Mednafen’s PS1 cores both on my SD Card and System Memory in plenty of folders to ensure nothing went wrong.įunny fact is, these bios files were the same ones used in previous versions of RetroArch that worked flawlessly and allowed me to play Akumajou / Castlevania, Parasite Eve and many others before I updated to Lollipop. Unfortunately, this lead me to replace most of my PS1 collection with PSP ports or remakes due to the poor amount of working PS1 emulators on Android. My bios files have been upper and lower case, I have copied all of my bios files into every known directory to test any flaw including on my SD Card and system memory. I have had this problem ever since I upgraded to Lollipop myself.
